What happended to yesterday?

Wow, our "2 hour nap" turned into an "8 hour slumber". Can you say "jet lag"?

We are off to Lido this morning....hope the trains are easy to figure out. We had a very mediocre meal last night; most of the restaurants we closed due to the Easter Holiday, which is a much bigger deal in Catholic-dominated Italy than in the States.

I loved looking at the other side of the table and seeing my lovely wife....it was like seeing her again for the first time.

Milano

First day in Italy after two long flights. Both flights were smooth and the plane from Newark to Milan was very nice - each passenger had their own TV screen and choice of movies, tv shows, and games which certainly helped the time pass.

Wow, it is sort of surreal; the wedding is over and we are married and on our honeymoon.

Our hotel in Milan is just two blocks from Milano Centrale, the main train station in Milan. We are going to get a nibble, take a nap and have some dinner.

Heading out to Lido (island right by Venice) tomorrow.

Soon

Wow! We are both amazed at the rapid pace in which time passes....the big day is almost here. The rings are in hand, outfits have been purchased, menus are planned, shopping lists are done, travel arrangements are done, the ceremony is outlined, the seating chart is made, and now we wait!

It's exciting, to say the least. It will be wonderful to have so many of our closest friends and family together for a single event. It will be both fun...and interesting!

I went and picked up my outfit this past weekend with mom. We had a blast! We were surprisingly efficient - the entire process was less than three hours. Not bad! I hope K likes what we picked.

I love you K and can't wait to marry you....

Ah, the sun

Spent the weekend at the beach cottage and had a blast. The weather has been CrAzY....we played frisbee on the beach, in shorts and a tee-shirt, in March! In Oregon!

We ate some yummy clam chowder, fish and chips, and various other yummies from the sea. We went to Mexican food for dinner on K's birthday...being a little burned out on seafood by that time.

Ma and Pa D sent K a very sweet care package - lots of little gifts and such. Aw, the lovely soon-to-be in-laws....they rock!

I look forward to many, many more birthday's with my sweet little K.

Ring Ring

Picked up K's ring yesterday and it fits like a glove! It is beautiful!!!! And, last but not least, we pick up my ring this afternoon.

We made hotel reservations online last night for our first week and last night in Italy. We are so excited - K is already packed! We need to book a place in the Cinque Terra and then the honeymoon plans will be complete.

We had dinner last night with Wayne to solidify the plans for the day of the wedding. Things are slowly, but surely, falling in to place. Wayne is such a nice person; truly one of the nicest human beings I have ever known.

Geez....March 26th once seemed so far away....now it is just around the corner. Excitment fills the air!!!!
