Dell Axim x51

A couple weeks ago at work we ordered some Dell Axim x51's. I was fortunate enough to receive one of these devices.
After some time with device, I share these observations:

  • Installation was simple
  • I can sync with 2 different PC's. When I tried to sync to a third machine (laptop) I was scolded.
  • The battery life isn't impressive, but I haven't taken note of how long it truly lasts.
  • Screen quality is quite nice. It has worked for me in all types of lighting, though I haven't tried it in bright sunshine. (Hey, I'm in Oregon) The screen can be set to Portrait or Landscape view - a handy feature on certain websites.
  • I already know that I need to buy additional storage - there isn't much storage space to spare. I was not able to save a PocketWord file - the FIRST time I tried to save a file. Read again: serious users will need to upgrade storage on this device.
  • Wireless has worked great - easy to connect, easy to email, etc. Haven't tried bluetooth.
  • It fits in my pocket, shirt or short. You can tel I have something in my pocket, shirt or short.
  • I actually like the factory-shipped case

Came with: Case. Power cable. USB cradle. 1 battery. 1 stylus. Pocket Office stuff (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, Messenger, IE) and a few other applications.

Would I spend my own money on this product? Yes, after a two-week test drive I would have to say that I would buy this. It would be a shame to suddenly find myself without it!
